  • Humble Chicken is a stunning 2-Michelin-star experience in London. The Omakase journey with a European infusion is breathtaking, especially watching the head chef lead the kitchen with such precision. Every platter is a work of art—the pigeon, the signature egg, and the tuna were all beautifully executed. The desserts, specifically the Madeleines and the Mandarin ice cream, provided a perfect finish. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is electric with top-notch music. The staff are incredibly friendly and make the experience feel warm and personal rather than formal. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates culinary artistry and seamless teamwork! Thank you Humble chicken team for the beautiful experience.

  • Simply phenomenal. It is an absolute must when in London. We came from across the pond to celebrate our wedding anniversary last weekend and Humble Chicken was undoubtedly the highlight meal of our stay. My wife and I had the most lovely evening with Angelo, John, Aiden and the entire team. They could not have been more engaging, friendly, hospitable and literally humble people during our time together, all of which made our visit extra special. A "humble" brag (and for context) is that we've been very fortunate to dine at many incredible places around the world, including Single Thread, Noma, Atomix, Benu, Alinea, Mugaritz, Pujol and many more, but this once humble chicken spot delivered on all accounts and we can wholeheartedly say is deserving of rivaling the best in the world. The intimacy within the restrained and beautiful setting, impeccable service and some of the most delicious fine dining food we've ever had has left a lasting impression we will always remember. Thank you team Humble Chicken. To quote TB12 for Angelo: "To be successful at anything, the truth is, you don't have to be special. You just have to be what most people aren't: consistent, determined, and willing to work for it." I don't know, we think you are all of the above and pretty damn special too. We know you are deserving of and will receive that third star in the future. Keep at it and we send our very best and many thanks for a truly incredible evening!

  • A year after my first visit, the restaurant earned a star — and then unexpectedly closed for a major renovation. After hearing several chefs speak highly of the new menu, I finally returned. You can still spot traces of the old identity, but there are plenty of new elements as well. It’s a clear improvement from before, and definitely worth a try. Tomato ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crisp Japanese-style bread shell; passion fruit and tomato bring two different layers of acidity — bright, clean and refreshing. Mussels ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bouncy, tender mussel meat with a sweet–tart sauce. Very fresh, very umami, very well balanced. Hand-Dived Scallop ⭐⭐⭐ The scallop itself is tender, but the cucumber and mushroom flavours are quite strong, overshadowing the natural sweetness of the shellfish. Ōtoro ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crispy shell with a strongly acidic sauce. You can still taste the tuna’s fat; the finish carries a touch of clean umami. Old Town 97 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Warm langoustine on a savoury–spicy sauce, with crisp bread carrying spring onion aroma. Rich, salty heat lifted by the langoustine’s sweetness and a hint of shiso. Foie Gras ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A touch of alcohol aroma; sweet–savory balance with the crunch of pear and a light nutty note. Oyster ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grape and citrus bring bright acidity to the oyster’s natural metallic brininess. Plump, creamy flesh. Chawanmushi ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely soft custard with large flakes of cod; broth carries a gentle smokiness, mixed with cabbage sweetness and cod umami. “Picnic” ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crispy-soft bread with pork jowl and apple–mustard — simple but satisfying. Dashi ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clear broth with subtle ginger and kombu aromatics; a light sansho-leaf note. Sea bream skin is very crisp; the flesh is tight and firm. Signature Pigeon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptionally tender pigeon breast with lightly crisp skin, carrying binchotan charcoal aroma and pine-smoke notes — the best I’ve had recently. Tempura leg is savoury, sweet–sour, and extremely crisp. The meat patty is soft with onion sweetness and a hint of pickled acidity. Clear broth is slightly on the salty side. Citrus ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Intense mandarin aroma. A combination of granita, sorbet, fruit, and crisp candied peel. Cream adds subtle sweetness beneath the tartness, making sweet just slightly prevail over sour. Petit Fours ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Red miso madeleine — soft with a crisp ring around the edge. Chocolate — smooth mousse; chocolate and dairy with a touch of saltiness from the caviar. Mango — Yangzhi Ganlu-style flavour with basil oil giving extra freshness. Black sesame — sticky rice tones down the sweetness; sesame aroma is strong, sweet but not cloying. Passion fruit — soft pudding with caramel bitterness and passion-fruit acidity intertwined. Total bill: £547.4 / 2 people Recommendation score: 8.9/10

  • I came away from dinner trying to identify highlights and favorites but the truth is it’s wow after wow. Some examples… The milkbread - playful and deliriously yummy. Dashi course - wistful, warm, made me think of home. Old Town 97 - full of heart and humor. And of course the pigeon (some of which they kindly packed up for me to take home as I was stuffed along with the pudding and was just as good the next day) - the not so humble definition of piece de resistance :) The rigour of the cooking was only enhanced by how well the team told the story of each dish and in my case each sake pairing. Spectacular!

  • Everything was perfect, one for the best dinning experience I have had. The food was amazing, the attention to details, beautiful presentation. The mussle dish tasted and looked incredible, how they chef managed to put multiple things layers of avocado into a mussle was super impressive. My favourite dishes were the "prawn toast" and the black cod with the dashi source, and the pigeon dish was really great as well, a tasty, special dish to end the meal before dessert. The tempura pigeon leg was so soft and crispy at the same time, and the pigeon itself was full of flavour. The black cod, lingoustin and pigeon were all cooked on the BBQ grill and the smokiness were just right, brought a different dimension to the dishes. The service was impeccable, they saw my friend dropped her napkin and immediately gave her a new one. It was my friend birthday and they did a special arrange for her (don't want to ruin the surprise here!) All the plates, bowls, cutlery were beautiful and perfect designed for every dishes. We had the best time there, shouldn't be long until they get their third star!

  • Had an incredible birthday dinner at Humble Chicken. :) Every dish was unique and full of flavor. The pigeon was a highlight — smoky, crispy on the outside, and amazingly tender inside. Definitely a must-try. The sake pairing was spot-on and really elevated the whole experience. We loved the open kitchen design which kept us excited about each dish. Staff were super friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. A memorable dining experience from start to finish. Thank you and will come back again :)

  • Such an incredible experience. I don’t even know where to start. The service was superb and the joyful atmosphere really contributed to everything just having a lot of fun. The sommelier is a gem and so funny. The dishes are all absolutely stunning and exciting. I loved every single one of them and can only wholeheartedly recommend that you go there.
